Jeff Macoun


Jeff Macoun is an accomplished business leader and trusted advisor with a vibrant career spanning over 40 years at Canada Life, where he served as President and Chief Operating Officer, Canada. In this role, Jeff led over 11,000 employees nationwide, driving initiatives to improve the financial, physical, and mental well-being of Canadians through comprehensive insurance and wealth management solutions.

Known for his strategic mindset and collaborative approach, Jeff is actively engaged in community leadership. He has served on numerous boards, including as Co-Chair of the Community Fundraising Team for the Health & Homelessness Movement (Fund for Change).

Jeff’s contributions to business and philanthropy have earned him several prestigious recognitions, including a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, a Governor General’s Caring Canadian Award, and induction into the London and District Business Hall of Fame.

Kirk James


Kirk James is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in corporate strategy, leadership development, and insurance markets. As Chief Strategy Officer of HUB International, one of the world’s largest insurance brokerages, Kirk oversaw strategic planning, leadership initiatives, and key functions, including Legal, Human Resources, Risk Services, and U.S. Carrier Strategies. He also held various leadership roles at HUB, including Chief Operating Officer, President of multiple super regions, and Chief Corporate Development Officer.

Prior to HUB, Kirk practiced law for 17 years at McKenzie Lake, specializing in corporate securities and commercial litigation. He has deep expertise in negotiating transactions, corporate finance, risk management, and governance.

Kirk was a long-standing member, and currently is a life trustee, on the Board of Metropolitan Family Services, one of Chicago’s largest and longest-serving charitable organizations.

Kevin is an experienced technology executive with a proven track record of driving innovation, business strategy, and cutting-edge software development. Over his career, he has held senior leadership roles in technology, including Chief Technology Officer at CarProof, where he oversaw data security, infrastructure, and product development, earning recognition as one of Canada’s top executives under 40.

At iCONECT, Kevin led product development for Fortune 500 companies and U.S. government agencies, contributing to high-profile projects such as NASA’s Back to the Moon initiative and the development of the public Enron email database for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

Kevin continues to combine technical excellence with strategic leadership, helping organizations innovate and scale in the cloud. His lifetime appointment with the United Nations-sponsored World Summit of Innovation and Entrepreneurship reflects his global perspective and commitment to advancing technology and business.

Kyle Leistner


Kyle Leistner has over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry and is a qualified actuary. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) and the Society of Actuaries (FSA), and also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Kyle’s professional background includes roles at Canada Life, where he contributed to Par Product Development and Pricing, Group Retirement, and Valuation. Currently, he is a Principal and the Director of Actuarial Services at Creaghan McConnell Gould, where he helps business families transition their wealth, both financial and human capital, to the next generation.

Alex Weiner


Alex is an experienced business leader with a diverse career spanning sales management, management consulting, strategic planning, and entrepreneurship. With a strong foundation in consumer-packaged goods, launched with Coca-Cola, Alex has successfully led sales teams, driving growth and market expansion. As a management consultant, he provided strategic guidance to companies across various industries, helping them optimize operations and improve performance. As one of the founders of HomeVerified, WRELM Data and Lifei2iQ, Alex has experience leveraging innovation to create impactful solutions in the insurance vertical. Known for his ability to blend industry expertise with an aggressive, forward-thinking approach, Alex is passionate about delivering sustainable results and fostering business transformation.

Beth Locke


With extensive experience in software engineering and product development, Beth excels at creating cloud-native, template-driven solutions that enable software to serve as a dynamic engine for customized applications. As an Engineering Manager, she has led cross-functional teams in designing and delivering innovative products, particularly in the medical and healthcare sectors, where adaptability, compliance and precision are critical.

Her expertise bridges the gap between advanced technical development and practical, client-focused innovation. Her background includes high-performance computing, high-volume data processing, and statistical analysis. This experience has equipped her with a strong foundation in managing complex systems and ensuring data-driven solutions meet real-world needs.

Holden Rhodes


Holden has built a distinguished career as a business leader and entrepreneur, with expertise in law, real estate, and innovative ventures. Starting at McKenzie Lake law firm, he practiced business law and commercial real estate for over a decade, becoming a partner after six years. In 2000, he co-founded CarProof (now Carfax Canada), transforming it into one of Canada’s fastest-growing and award-winning data companies over 15 years, where he also served as Director and General Counsel.

Currently, Holden leads the Real Estate Group for AutoCanada, managing over 100 auto dealerships and collision centers across North America. He also invests in and manages diverse ventures, including two Georgian Bay resorts, a brewery, and a sustainability-focused lending company, as well as various commercial real estate projects in London and Muskoka.

Holden has served on boards and committees for organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce and the MS Society, reflecting his commitment to innovation and leadership across industries.
